So im in the market for some new pow skis.

i snapped my pistols in half today, and im looking for a new pair of skis. i live in park city right now, but next year im going to university of utah in slc so ill be skiing alta and snowbird alot. right now im liking the jp vs juliens, but if anybody who knows what they're talking about has any rcomendations id like to hear them. and im about 6 3 and 165 lbs

jp vs juliens are an excellent choice. they are a phenomenal pow ski, super light and agile (they would be an excellent size for your height and weight) and great for really mixing things up in powder, or doing sick lines. ive been very impressed with mine this season

yah good idea!!!!!!!!!!!!! no get the gotamas no question, the jp v julien is a great ski but they way you broke your pistols they wont hold up, the gotamas are cash money.

yeah, it was weird cus i was skiing over to the lift from the parking lot, and ollied over a rock or something and they cracked, so i was like thats gay i guess ill have to retire them at the end of this season, but then a couple runs later, i dropped a 15 footer into soft snow and it just snapped, right behind the heel piece like u said

if youre going to be skiing alta, just sack up and get spatulas, my friends say its s completely different ride, just amazing. i could prolly try to find out the name of the company he got them off ebay for only $450 if you want. there are only so many left and that price is pretty sick

goats are nice too

That sucks man. Hey, I live in Alta and have a new pair of Prophet 130's coming my way. I have a pair that I've been rocking that I want to get someone who will appreciate them on. If you want to come over and try them out, I have a set for people to demo. If you haven't riden this ski, it will blow your mind. Let me know and I'll shoot you an i.m. with my email. It's obviously nuking here right now and it would be a killer week to scoot over for the day and rip them. I might be able to show you some sick shit over here as well. They're in good shape and I tune at night so I can have them back to 100% in no time. I'm also helping out with the comp at Brighton this Saturday so you can take some prophet 130's or 100's out to try. If you haven't skied on Line lately, it's time to check them out.

prophet 130 is in a compleaty different genre of skis then the seth pistol, i would say 130 is a really really bad choice, get the gotama or a pair of seth v's.

get the salomon gun. ive never skied it but i have the pocket rocket which pretty much the same thing. they float through the pow like no other. they will be softer than your pistols so they wont hold at high speeds, but they will be better in a pow situation.

I have 04-05 JPS with no binding for 200 (no lower, dicks) They are sick and fat. Calskierx also has the 05-06 JPs, which he is selling with bindings, if you are interested.
