dude, you can only open it once, then it goes away....so if you wanna write them back do it right away, as soon as you read it. There's a way to retrieve past messeges as well, but I don't feel like typing it all...

look up who wrote you the message in the member section uner Interact, and then once you get to their profile, click on 'message history with (whoever it is)' you can read your messages and theirs, and respond in their profile.
