theres a really good book about the whole sex pistols story. its called never mind the bollocks. the biography of sid vicious is called vicious: too fast to live.
Yeah, i read the book Never Mind the Bollocks. good book. but he talks about that movie and how he doesn't like it and how he felt screwed out of the band by then. Deffinitely read the book if you're into the Sex Pistols.
The sex pistols suck, they were hardly a decent punk band, DID NOT START PUNK. They were a bunch of heroin addicts scouted by a gay fashion designer in London, pathetic.
If you want some good music that had a bigger influence on punk, listen to TELEVISION.
eat me. the sex pistols don't suck, it doesn't matter WHO ACTUALLY STARTED PUNK and sid was the only real addict of them and what does it matter if thier scout was gay?
Read some of my posts, especially a thread i made ealier about the wannabe homophobia on this board. I was stating that they were greatly overstated as being pioneers of that movement. Yeah punk isnt the underground movement anymore. But it seems kind of false for them to bear the torch of punk rock.
I mostly listen to emo and hardcore now, real emo. If you can't name a real emo band you have no place arguing punk with me.
exactly, all the real punk kids that like started all that are into emo and shit now. basiclly mylife story. and honest;y bmxican hes not gonna name all of his "real" emo bands because its apistols post. and half you kids on this site rip on "emo" or have the most disfigured preception of it anyways.
the sex pistols are without a doubt a heavy and important influence in todays punkrock but they didnt start punkrock. ever heard of the stooges or the patty smith group?
