How do I pay for skis without getting scammed?

Like okay Im buying these skis off this guy here and we are planning to use paypal.. you got any suggestions how I wont get ripped off or scammed out of my money... How will i know that he's going to send the skis or should i just trust a fellow skier? give me some tips on how you usually sell or buy things on NS... thanks

you could just buy skis from me and you wont have to worry. i have alot of friends on here who would be willing to give away my address if i fucked somone over. and i havent so buy my skis.

You can send it COD, which is a big hassle. Or you can ask them to create a buy-it-now auction on ebay, so if something backfires they can intervene or wtv.

sorry calskierx already got some skis picked out... yeah man COD is a huge hassle and you have to pay commission fees and shit... but I do like the Buy-it-Now option

Have him setup up an auction on Ebay, then bid, then have him "end auction to the highest bidder". Now you've won the auction, and ebay will protect you if he screws you over.

paypal...it gives the buyer the same protection as ebay, without having to pay commisions on ebay sales

Get his address and Home Phone # make sure they match up. Get emails saying what the deal will be exactly like a pair of ___ skis for $xx.xx . If you get screwed you call the cops you've got his address phone and documented record of what the deal was supposed to be. He gets Busted.

there really needs to be a feed back system on this site, like say if you deall with some one you leave him good feedback if it went over smooth the moire feed back the more the person is trusted, also the person with more feedback would not have to ship or pay first, it's a really good system
