I applied for a job at whakapapa and am travelling to NZ (from Canada) in late May. Will probably need a place to stay... are you riding at turoa for the season? they are pretty close yeah?

Hi, i'm also going to be down south during may,june, july and august. Traveling from canada too and having the same problems as you i guess! haha well who care as long as there is good snow.

its on the same hill dude, just the other side. and if you get a season pass it will be for both resorts.
ive never done it but you can ski from one resort to the other if you skin to the peak

Hey all, I am also going to be at Turoa this year, my second season there. I'm from Calgary. If you're at Whakapapa, stay in National Park (town), if you're at Turoa, stay in Ohakune. Best way to find a place is to check the bulletin board in the New World (grocery store) when u get there or email the lodge rental agencies now, before the season gets going and ask them if they have any season-long accommodation available. Pray for good snow and I'll se y'all down there!
