Kid is selling me mike nick pros but im skeptical

so i searched a bit but i wanted a more up to date comparison since theyre a little old, i think. so i know this kid at my mountain, he has some year old mike nick pro's. no core shots or anything, just a beat up topsheet. he said he'd sell for around $80 give or take a little. were going to negotiate more but for now around there. from my searches theyre not stiff but not buttering flexible which is nice, good pop, and good ksi for the pow on occasion. please fill me in on some stuff and post your opinion on the price.

no its not, the kid's name is kyle im pretty sure. i know a jason dillon (sp) though, one fo my brother's friends. he must be like 20 or so if were talking about the same person?
if it is the jason im talking about he's a great guy. i remember my bro had a partyy at our house and jason got soo wasted, he tried to fight me and my brother. sooo funny, he pissed himself later that night!

I've got a pair from a couple years ago. Black with the grey dude on the tails. I love them. I've also got the Skogens from the same year. They're definately softer than the Skogens but not nearly as soft as the 1260s. An excellent all around ski in my opinion.

Im riding these right now, im a light guy so they dont feel that soft to me, they pop good, they are pretty durable because of the many rocks that i ran over early on in the season. and rip pretty much everywhere. trees, deep snow, park, groomers, super fun ski.
only complaint is that my topsheet randomly gets chips to the core ( i have 5 or so chips after 30 days of skiing ) but thats easily solved with epoxy.
but that sounds like a really good deal to me theyre super fun i say get em.

wut binders, cuz if they have seriously shitty bindings, make sure it is ok to redrill them...
line bindings would be fine to take off, cuz no drilling required...

I agree about the random chips showing to the wood core. It mostly happened after a bad crash but they still hold up pretty well. Like the previous poster said...a little epoxy on bad chips will prevent the core from getting wet.
