Scratch vs 1080 - opinions

I just got 1080's (the fizz 161) last saturday. I kept telling the guy I wanted the scratch (168) but he said they were too long, and stiffer than the 1080 for my height and weight (5'4, 115 lbs). So, i got the 1080s because he said there was some 7 ski day guarantee and that if I didnt like them i could take them back before I skied on them 7 times. Ive tried them once, and im really comfortable on their size so I think i could go for that extra 7 cm in the scratch. I was just wondering if it was really worth switching to the scratch - or to stay with the 1080's.

depends what kinda skiing u do. If u only ride park and pipe, stay w/ the 10, cuz they're shorter as well as wider, so easier on the booters. If ur skiin' everywhere, u really ought to get the longest ski u feel comfortable w/, giving u the most area on the snow as well as stiffness and stability. So really it matters what kind of skier u are

The Scratch FS may be longer, but it's narrower everywhere(106-76-99) than the 1080(114-80-110, I THINK, but if it's wrong I'm damn close)so surface area is probably not that different. Try to demo the Scratch before returning your 1080s. Best advice I can give you.

They dont sell PE's here (near ottawa), or anywhere in Ontario according to K2. Just 3 places in Quebec so thats not an option. I was just wondering if the performance of the scratch wsa better or worse than the 1080.

I ride skogens and I haven't ridden either ski but the Rossi riders (esp.Windstedt and Poirier) can't stop talking about how dope the Scratches are. I know they're paid to do that but they both mention that part of the reason they like riding for Rossi is that the skis are so sick. Those Enemies are fucking sick too though. Maybe you could order them from D-Structure or something.
