so im sitting in a hotel room looking at the resort. no not out west in wisconsin. i know what a bummer anyways i want to go for an off axis 3 tomorrow i looked it up but not much made sense. I need step by step on this mainly on the take off it's self. I got the trick dialed on a tramp and figure it's time to take it to the snow. I'd appreciate the help though.
the purpose of carving is so that you're already leaning when you go off the lip. Keep in mind that cork 3s are waaaay harder than cork 5s or 7s. If you can 5 or 7, i'd start with one of the larger spins first.
Your name is utahrider and you're skiing in wiscosin????? WTF???
I don't get it, but here's some advice go to the closest grocery store, buy a douche get all the sand out of your pussy then tomarrow step up and throw that shit!!! After that you can take off the skirt and buy a nice pair of jeans.
I just try to carve a little while going up the lip of the jump then I drop my shoulder and get grab in it always gets me off axis and it feels really sketchy doing threes though u should try a 5 or seven trust me its easier
ok... don't take this personally, but cork 3's are going to be much easier to learn than a cork 5 or 7. You may think that a 5 or 7 is easier to learn because you might be throwing/hucking it differenlty (don't get all pissy on me now).
So when u spin your going to want to use your hips and not so much your arms. First off you are giong to want to find a jump where you are comfortable on, and not super small...probably 15-20 at least. Dial in your speed, and some just normal 360's, this way you don't have to worry about that shit when you try to get corked. A great way to practice an off axis 360 spins...(if you spin left) take off the jump just as if you were going to do a normal 360 but instead drop your left shoulder and reach for your left ski with your left hand, like right under your boot. And with your right hand raise it to the sky, and point with your hand towards your left shoulder over your head with your right hand. This will allow you to slowly get off axis, once you get use to this you can start to go more off axis, into corks. The way you want to set a good corked spin is to rotate your hips up while bringing your shoulder down and back.
With the whole carving into jumps... I think for corked stuff carving makes the jump look so much smoother and you can get way more corked, but its much harder. Work on that later! gl hopefully this makes sense
