so i work in a ski shop and i hate it when people come in and ask "are these snowboarding gloves" or "is this snowboard wax" or "are these skiing hats" im like its all the same. does anyone else notice this? like theres a difference in the things you buy?
ya haha i work at canadian tire and i have to deal wit dumb costumers but i dont think i have had to deal wit anyone bad like that except on christmas eve when sum big black guy came in wit 5 mins before the store closed and fuckin pissed me off cause i was running around lookin for sumtin for him to buy when all i wanted to do was go home nad eat turkey din din
I work at a shop and a guy called in about having bindings switched from one pair of skis to another. When I asked what kind of skis and bindings we were talking about he naturally had no idea. He also went on to explain that he doesn't have his ski boots with him, and asked if we could "eyeball" it up when we remount the bindings to approximate his boot sole length. The resulting concussion of stupid flew through the phone and caused me to lapse into convulsions and begin speaking in tongues.
We still get old geze bindings in with exploded backs and people get so mad when we tell them that it's not somehting that can be fixed.
I also had a guy get pretty pissed at me two days ago when i told him his bindings weren't indemnified and i wouldn't touch them. The bindings were easiliy about as old as me (22) and he goes off on a bitch fest about how ski shops are always trying to gouge him for money and he's not made of money and he's sick of buying something new each year. Then i told him that's rediculous b/c by the looks of these skis, he hasn't bought anything new for atleast 15 years.
and i get atleast a dozen kids in each day asking "how much is your cheapest goggle (a smith basic for 18 bucks)" then they try them on and ask "are these good goggles...are they gonnna fog?"
and the kids who ask "are these good jumping skis?"
and "do you sell snowblades?"
oh, and when i say the cheapest pair of goggles is 18 bucks, the kids who then point to the oakley case in front of them and say "ok, i'll take the white pair with the orange lenses"
Me: "well those are $140"
kid:"but you said they were $18"
one time i had a customer call me at about 10 minutes to closing asking if they could come in and they lived 20 minutes away and im like i dont know im supposed to close soon and she starts bitching at me and she thinks cause she said she was sorry that i should stay open later so anyway im like yeah sure fine come in but hurry up. and then this womans husband comes in and is all like yeah ok and do i get a discount if i have a season pass im like yeah 10% so hes like ok give me that. and i ask him to give it to me so i can swipe it and he says he doesnt have it on him. so i cant do squat about it. and he starts bitching at me cause i cant give him 6 dollars off a 60 dollar helmet. so he leaves all pissed off then i get another call from his wife saying has he left yet and i say yes and shes like well we're just going to return it anyway. so i hurry up and get my ass out the door. then the next time im working i get a call from the office saying that the woman called the office and told them i was being very rude. so by being rude i assumed she meant staying open past when i was supposed to and taking the screaming without doing anything back and running all over the plave trying to get this damn guy his 6 dollars.
this one kid came into where i work and was demanding to buy these snowblades. i was like you cant have those go to the rental shop and rent a pair. then he asked if i was on newschoolers and i was like yea. hes said that i needed to sell him the snowblades then cause he is too. finally i explained to him that he was in the kids lesson room and that someone else owned the blades and that he wasnt even in the ski shop. plus he wouldnt be convinced that snowblades are gay and he needed to leave
