Skiing with music ---> Dangerous?

I bought these earphones that fit nicely under the ear peices of my helmet.
I was going to bring them skiing yesterday, but when I told my parents I was going to ski with music, they cringed.
They were saying that the music distracts you and you need to hear whats going on around you to ski safely.
What do you think?

as long as u don´t listen too loud..
@my crash this year i just was too stoked while listen to prodigy - girls which made me goin way too fast..

as long as its low its not dangerous. it shouldnt impede being able to talk to people. Most of the time i dont listen to music causeim always talking to people. but if im skiing by myself or we are lapping the park really fast then ill play it. i dont even really hear it most the time, but you can listen to it right before going so you dont overthink things and just do them.

the only thiung that pisses me off about it is my bad ltn. acts like a parachute when im going really fast cuz my goggles are on the inside so its like off my head so i cant hear it

unless your a total space and cant pay attention to more than one thing at a time, go for it. i listen to my pod all the time when i ski, just turn it mid way up so you can hear what song it is and get in the beat, but so you can still talk
