Replying to Olympic Half Pipe Skiing STICKY

why would you want pipe skiing to be in the olympics? how can you all be so short-sighted? do you really want to submit to FIS regulations, and a homogenization akin to mogul skiing and figure skating? it is clear that 'freestyle skiing' had the 'free' spirit of the sport destroyed by competitions that have become so rigorously regulated, why kill the soul of 'newschool' so soon after its birth?

stop looking for exposure without realizing the consequences of this trend to try and legitimize newschool skiing.

leave the olympics alone, to perpetuate notions of romanticism with regards to such sports as figure skating and bobsleighing. newschool skiing has as much to do with the olympics as does skateboarding.
