Really good bindings

s912ti. can't go wrong (unless you're huge, in which case go with the 914)

got salomons on all my twins. love them. the 912ti are a great choice and i have no complaints to date.

pretty much anything but salomon, so i would go with LOOK or ROSSIGNOL if i were you TYROLLIA would be what i would put second. thats just my opinion on the salomans but please, flame at will.

let me just ask, why the salomon hate?

dunno, ive ridden the same salomon bindings on my Mo2's for like.....2 years, and 2 years on race skis b4 mounting em on my twins

Tyrolias have good safety features and are not overpriced. 180 degree toe release. I just had MoJos mounted on 05 Pollards and like 'em.

I just went and played with my new Mojo bindings and realized that the heal piece rotates about 15 degrees each way from center! Maybe not as much as the pivot or Axial but enough to help. Learned it by accident, ha.

my tyrolias suck i always have to bend my brake back up after i fall switch cause it bends down somehow and the other day it was so cold that when i bent it back up the whole thing just snapped off and then like yesterday i fell switch and the whole brake just snapped off so now theres just one brake on each ski and on of them doesnt even work. i definitely wouldnt recommend them and i had a pair of rossi bindings and i killed the brakes on those too.

im gonna have to say that i fucking destroyed two pairs of s912tis, and ill never ride them again. the brakes SUCK. try ejecting landing switch, and exploding your e entire binding. or maybe, having the vertical pressure screw strip so your boot rattles around, and finally having the whole toepiece snap off. Or maybe, cracking 3 titanium heeltracks between 4 bindings.
and, the first pair was warrented for the second(i was broke), and the horror continued.

^^To the guys up there complaining about how their brakes suck: If you eject going switch, your brake is going to bend. Live with it. There is no binding company that makes especially durable brakes, you'll just have to accept that with the way ski bindings are designed the brakes will bend if you put pressure on them that way

But about the bindings on your Heads...I'd recommend the Tyrolias because you get a 2 year warantee on your skis if you do that. I have the same skis but put some p12's on them and love the combination, but since you don't like looks I'm not going to tell you to get those. Just see what sort of Tyrolia binding you can get in the 10-14 DIN range and you should be set.

Forget Tyrolia, Salomon is good (921ti) unless you're heavy (914). But I highly recommend look p12... Super solid feeling.

i wasnt complaining. i was stating a fact. and the breaks didnt bend, they exploded, ripped the whole break piece out of the heeltrack, threaded hole stripped, ti break tabs in the Ti heeltrack snapped off, this was after i double ejected(prerelease) on a 5, and my boot heel hit my heelpeice. nothing particularily stressful.

now... compare this to my prerelease on my p18s....oh, wait, it hasnt happened, EVER. i have, however, side released, and caught the heel. it didnt even bend the brake, and it was a bigger kicker. so dude, before you assume someones complaining, and lump all brake designs on bindings into one statement, think a bit. jesus christ.

Two kids I know have both snappped off their brakes on their rossi 100 bindings, and the way they broke both of them are now brake-less forever as long as they keep their bindings.

ok here is how it is. no binding is going to be super durable, they all have their strong and weak points. From my experience

Marker-decent binding, seem to break easily for me, have a good mounting pattern, should work well if you wiegh little and ski like a sissy.

Tyrolia-Good binding holds in well has good safety features but prereleases in some instances, wouldnt really recomend it for a park binding. however great all mountain binding

look/rossi-great binding as long as your are not too heavy or you dont ski to hard. Holds you in sold durring all instances and is easy to put back on in powder. this is by far the most solid feeling binding i've ridden. the only flaw with these bindings is the mounting pattern on the heel. The screws are in a close pattern on the heel. All 4 of the screws are mounted in the front of the plate which leaves your heel behind the actual mount. This is a problem because if you put the wrong pressure or torque on the backk of your binding it is going to pull out of your ski. this only goes for the older look/rossis. they have fixed this problem with this years new binding.

salomon-good binding holds in most situations. the only problem with these beindings is that the heel track is known to pull out rather easily. this means these bindings are good for people who do not weigh a lot or do not ski hard.

i would reccommend the look and salomons for park skiing. it all really depends on your personal prefrence. from my experience i try to stay away from marker, anything else seems to hold its own as far as bindings go.

another thing to remember is that each company makes different levels of all of their bindings. each company has recreational bindings to race bindings.

another company you could check out are the new 4frnt bindings. i've never tried them but they look solid, from what i know they are just a modified tyrolia binding. hope some of this helps. All i really think you should do is take your time a look around. do some research and find what you think will suit what kind of rider your are and what kind of riding you are going to be doing.

dont compare the p18s to the s912...try the 916ti which is comprable to the p18 and try to break it...betcha cant

the only issue i have with the p18 is that, cause they havent fixed that. well, one of two issues. i wish they'd make the multi-directional release toepieces more availiable. obviously racers dont want upward releases, but theres a large number of park riders that use these bindings.

you cant go much more wrong, theyre pieces of shit, i broke both the heel tracks (titanium is weaker than the steel ones) and teh plastic bits all crack and break off and shit, horrid bindings, and im not big, 155 pounds

i do appreciate the s916. good binding. i still had it pre-release on me, but i never broke it. i wish they'd make a version that doesnt do that. thats the real issue i had with salomon bindings is the twisting prerelease, which they do TONS. upward as well, but not nearly as much.
if i didnt ride p18s/fks185s, thats what id be riding.
