I just got back from seein this move. Holy shit, it blew me away. Best movie ive seen all year. It was pretty funny but it was the music that made it. Im a big rap fan but normally, rap is terrbile live. But here, there was the whole band backing which made it so sick, so much more energy. All the rappers were sick too. The roots were my personal fav. Anyone else seen this yet?
it got like 4 stars from my newspaper and they said it was awesome. o and the person that reviewed it is white and usually didn't like rap either, but said it was really creative and stuff. i gotta see it now
I saw it and was dissapointed too. Too much music and not enough Dave. I'm not a huge rap fan but like underground stuff like that but still wasn't impressed. It got kinda boring towards the end. Mos (Dante aparently) is deff. a chill dude though.
As a whole it was a sick ass flick and id recomend it to anyone even my own mom. the rap was sick and it was all to get power for the people. Dave was funny. "5000 black people chillin in the rain, 19 white people pepered in the crowd, everyone is welcome, tryin to find a Mex-i-can." hahahaha
GO AND SEE IT!!!
Saw it on Friday and was blown away. The performances were amazing and dave was hilarious. I was sitting in the theatre bobing my head to songs. Granted I was really high, I still found it to be such a good movie. You cant go into it expecting to see a stand up show of Dave, that may be the reason some people are disapointed.
It was so damn good. Dead Prez was my favorite. All the music was good though. It was a damn good movie. There are some really funny parts. Such as when Mr. T tells dave he's "roughin off" But, dont expect it to be chappelle's show on the big screen. Its more just a documentary type movie thing...kind of hard to explain, but just go see it
