thats 5.35 feet. i was just asking before making a decision on what skis to get. I have skied all my life with longer skis but not this long, so I wantedto make sure before buying.
dang man, what skis you planning to get, i wouldnt go much more than 10 cm taller than you, i tried to ski some 191's and i'm 5ft 10 in and 143lbs, i got worked by the end of the day, mostly cuz they're stiff, but its not necessary to have a HUGE ski when your such a tiny dude
dependin on your strength of skiing that might be too much ski to handle for you, if you are used to 165's. your prob lookin at the ANT and its stiff i hear which means your really gonna have to be able to ride that ski or it'll ride you. plus a ski that big is mainly just for big mountain ripping, hope thats all you plan on doin with it
I am about 5' 9" and ride one eightys, i know i could ski a 191 though. I think it just depends on how strong of a skier you are and what your comfortable on. I'm used to really stiff heavy race skis so long twin-tips are not a problem, but it's all about individual comfort
Wow. Good luck trying to turn in heavy pow or crud. But if you're solely a park skier, you're prob fine. My little brother rode a pair of 180s and he's about your size and they worked fine for him in the park. Granted, there is a bit of a difference between 191s and 180s.
Are you joking? ANTs are stiff, better be at least 150 pounds and a strong skier to turn them especially if you are skiing at a resort/harder snow/tighter areas.
if you skied all your life you should have a good gauge on how big you can really go.... Most people that have skied for awhile know what kind of skis they like and dislike.
I think if you buy that ski you won't be able to turn whatsoever and pretty much hate life because you are way too small to be able to power that ski, PLUS you sound like a gaper.
ive ridden them on the cliff at big white. im 5'8", 165lbs and they were a bit of work. i ride 182 mo'ships and theyre perfect. you need something 180 or less if you only weigh 100, anything longer would kick youre arse.
100 pounds and you want 191 ANTs?!?! well i guess it depends on how strong your legs are and if you like spinning
my advice ask you local shop if you can demo a pair if they are any good and you are serios about buying they should let you. ride them for a day and see how you like em.
There is absolutly no fuckin reason you need skis that long. Period. It will just make your turns harder and the ski will ski like a 2x4 cause you don't weigh enough to flex it right. They would be bad in the park and no real advantage in powder unless your straight lining alaskan peaks. And if your doing that you wouldn't be on here asking any questions. Just get some fat 170's if you wanna go long but I think you would be just fine with some 90mm+ stiff 155's. Shit I'm 170 lbs and have twin 176's and I have never had them fast enough to get shakes yet.
