It's gonna be the Utah Freeski society vs. BYU's freeski team. It's jam format, 2 hours long, you can take as many runs as you want but they onnly keep the score from the best two.
1st place-150$
2nd place-100$
3rd place- 50$
Comp entry covers lift ticket cost, it's 10$ if you are in the UFS and 15$ if you arn't, come up and represent.

Why Ice, I am surprised you are condoning the slopestyle. You are one to usually do the opposite.

Yeah I'm not going to compete, I just want to see us beat BYU and they emailed me saying not enough people signed up yet so I figured I'd give people a shot.
I'm thinking about poaching it midcomp in my underwear and throwing backflip spreadeagle nutgrabs off everything

Alta has a park? BYU has a freeski team? I'm confused.

Doesn't freeskiing usually invovle hedoism (ie pot drinking massive quanities of alcohol and trying to hit on the oppiste sex with no intention of a relationship? Doesn't the LDS religion hate that? What memo did I miss?

Does the U have a freeski team also? And how easy is it to be a walk on? Just figuring it would be nice to get to ski for free if I'm going school out there next year.

It's not unoffical, the utah freeski team is hard as hell to be a walk-on. The team only has 8 spots for men, 4 spots for women and 5 of the men spots are on scholarship. You basically are competing with the guys that were walk ons from the year before for the last remaining spots, last year my buddy and I tried out for a walk on spot and my buddy who can throw switch 7 both ways was cut!!! Try-outs for that team are like qualifiers for the x-games.

Well i learned something new today. That is pretty cool. I didnt realize the U put that much weight into a freeski team to offer scholarships.
All times are Eastern (-5)
