Replying to Ripping DVDs on to Macs

Ok i know this has been touched on before but i want a definitive answer

I want to be able to burn DVDs

I have Mac the Ripper and Toast 6 Titanium

Mac the ripper is perfect for ripping the DVD onto my hard drive (audio_ts and video_ts folders) - but I cant burn it onto a blank DVD

This is because when Mac The Ripper rips, the size is about 7G - the size of a DVD is about 4.9G - What can i do to compress it so that it fits onto one disc??
