better be careful...the more you fall on it, the worse...it will turn into a hematoma quick and then you're looking at a month of physical therapy to get back to normal, maybe two. I'm speaking from experience:
I went off like a 20 ft. rock in the bc, did a 3, landed in someones bomb hole...my head was gonna slam to the ground, so instictively I put out my arm to protect my head...I rammed my left bicept with my goggles and had a softball size hematoma...it took 1 and 1/2 months of physical therapy to get it gone...and let me tell you, that is one of the most painfull PT's I've ever been through, including knee injuries...

I'm with you on that.
At least you can still ski...
but seriously, be careful. Last season I crashed into a C Box so many times that I had the largest bruise I've ever seen and the spot that bruised was numb for a few months. You don't want to deal with that.

my sister broke her leg 3 weeks ago. they x-rayed it last week and the bone separated. they had to rebreak her leg and put wedges in her cast to force the bone back together because they dont want to do surgery. shes out for the season. she missed competitions and a trip to jackson hole.
feel better.

yeah dude i broke my tail bone in the first week of january, it sucked cause i could barely ski for 3 weeks, and even now im just getting back into it... injuries screw over your whole season because then you cant learn shit you want to learn.

at the very beginning of the season i had a huge hematome in my left hip. almost the same deal your going through. it just recetly went completely away. man be careful, that shit is soooo not fun to deal with. if your gonna ski, wear protection for sure.
3 days ago i was shot in the eye with a bb gun. the doctors dont evenknow if they can save my eye or not yet. this season is fucked for me. i hate injurys like no tomorow.

that sucks, but it isnt an injury that is really keeping you from skiing, i bet if you iced it all weekend you'll be fine. Just be glad it isnt season ending!

impact shorts really help a lot, especially if you fall like that on a box, you cant feel a thing, but on metal rails its kind of different, it still hurts a little, but my butt pads helped me progress with rails a lot faster this season

yes, a little ice will fix that right up

sorry to prove you wrong. but i have been to the hospital every day for the past week.probably 4 different "specialists" have looked at it and pretty much have never seen someone's eye survive a bb before. they have me on 4 differnet types of drops and im taking about 16 pills a day. its not just a little black eye...i cant see out of it. when i can open the lid...there is just a very dilated pupil surrounded by blood...its not fun and no it cant be fixed by ice.
i just realized that you may have been being sarcastic...after i typed all that^ w.e

this is my season:
dec 7th: Broken back, 6 broken ribs, cracked sternum, fully collapsed and punctured left lung. A month of sitting on my ass, and i finally started skiing again.
on jan 27th i moved to utah, got back to 100% and started doinng radical stunts again. One month later this past monday i landed backseat and completely tore my acl and mcl. So now i have tto have surgery again and wait at least 6 months to ski.
I would take a little bruise on my hip instead of all this for sure...your lucky man dont complain

damn dude...sucks...Hopefully the human body will surprise you...give anything long enough and theres a good chance it will heal itself...Not saying it's ever gonna be like before, but I have high hopes for you since my friend was shot in the eye with a bb as well when we were kids and he's fine now for the most part..other than bein crazy!

wow, a broken back, ribs and lungs and only out for a month? You must be superhuman...

thanks dude. what happened is the eye has started to bleed. and the doctors want the bleeding to go all in one place but the blood is floating around everywhere. to get the blood to stay in one place ....i have to stay completely still for a better part of each and every day. you have no idea how hard that is for a 15 year old like myself.thanks for the encouragement tho.

I feel your pain bro...I was at the bar over the summer and some drunk bitch poked me in the eye by accident...well, needless to say, the next day it was real fucked up and I couldn't even open it...lasted like 2 days before it eventually got better..so I know what you mean in a sense. As far as being 15, been there too! Def. a very anxious age, esp. when you are used to be super active!

not saying that getting poked in the eye must not have hurt....but it has been a week....and i got SHOT. not tryinng to be an asshole but there's a little bit of adifference.

haha, I think you are a little aggro right now, which is ok, considering your situation, but in no way was I ever comparing my injury to yours in that comment....I said that in a sense, I kinda knew what you were feeling like..and yes, I did have to goto the doctor and yes, it was pretty bad...but I'd be an idiot to say it even comes close to getting shot in the eye with a bb gun. You mid-understood me.

ahh ok. i re-read your previous comment after i said that and i read "in a sense"
...i figured there was no point in correcting myself because i knew you were going to explain and re explain that. thanks for the support i really appreciate it.
and yea i am a little aggro hhaha.

I don't blame you dude.
I thought I tore my acl for a few days before I saw my doctor and I sat around yelling at people cause I was so mad.
I really hope your eye works out. You never know. Doctors always have to give you the worst circumstances, and they don't always know what your body is gunna do.
