Exact definition on how to grab

ok so, my friend thinks u just let go of ur pole and grab your ski and just let the pole hang off your ski. ive tried to explain it to him all day but he doesnt beleive me. so can anyone give a clear definiton on how to grab?

1. open hand
2. move hand over ski
3. clamp your hand down on the ski
4. let go before you hit the ground
i dont think that people usualy let go of their poles. at least i dont completely let go.

i only grab with 2 of my fingers and the rest is holding onto my pole

if i did that my pole would be gone because i never put the straps on, and yeah, i dont think anyone lets go of their poles for grabs.

i kind of contract my palms so im kind of palming my poles so i can gra with all five fingers. i have huge hands though so idk if u can do it.

2 fingers or just like sometimes if you touch the ski. maybe fist around the pole and put your fist on the ski. close enough. if they dont have slo mo to see if you really grabbed the ski then dont worry about it

How to grab:
- Go off of jump
- bring legs up
- Bring hand to area of ski where you want to grab
- Firmly place 2 fingers (usually pointer and middle) on ski area.
- Hold grab and tweak for style
- Let go of grab and get in position to land.
Yeah its not hard, should be natural.

i hold the pole between my palm and my thumb, and use all four fingers to grab. but sometimes i grab with just two fingers, it depends how technical of a grab i am doing.
