I've read it. There are mad notes on the internet. Google something like plot summary or character themes and you will get a slew of info.

for the simularities and differences it could be perallels between the artical and the events, charecters, dynamics between charecters ,themes or symbols from the novel

here is what i have so far
This article shows the nature of humans as being evil. The actions of the 78 year old fortune teller reveal many traits that I believe to show the wickedness that many people posses. First off she does not accept responsibility for her actions and she does not care for the affect it may have to others. This I believe is evil because it is a selfish act and in order to do something good for yourself you ruin someone else’s life. Also this is a perfect example of greed and greed when it gets out of hand can result in all kinds of consequences and those consequences almost all the time are harmful to people. In my opinion if someone allows their greed to get out of hand and damage someone else’s life it is most defiantly an act of evil. Lastly this article shows the evil nature of most humans through the lack of compassion shown towards the victim by both the Fortune teller and by the ???? .
I have found that the evil in this article has many similarities with some of the immorality that occurs in Lord of the Flies. One similarity I found with the character Jack in the book and the Fortune teller in the article is that in both the people don’t follow the rules and don’t care for the consequences it may cause. An example of this that appears in the article is when the fortune teller steals $220,000 from the heart broken woman in Seattle without considering the consequences she broke the law not once but numerous times she also didn’t care about the position that she had left the woman in. An example of this carelessness for the rules can also be found in Jack’s actions thought the book. One example for this would be when
Another parallel I found between the book and article is the fact that it isn’t always good to put too much trust in people. This is found in the article quite easily because that is how the fortune teller takes the peoples money “he liquidated her parents' retirement savings accounts, and handed over $209,500 in crisp $100 bills. The fortune tellers promised to give the money back after they prayed over the bills for 24 hours.”

Haha, i remember my english teacher, big guy, really scary, everyone called him army... anyways, hes explaining the book...
"The spear represents the phallus. The spear is run into the sow. Do you all know what a phallus is? Yes? This means that symbolically, they are raping the pig."

so how does lord of the flies show that it is not good to put too much trust in people?

Well, i think its more important who you put your trust in, if the boys put their trust in ralph things would have been more organized on the island. On the otherhand, when the boys put their trust in Jack's hand they all turned into savages. An intresting note is that it was the reckless forest fire by Jack that in the end saved the boys, so thats gotta say something...
