you actually can say shit on tv. i dont know the rules surrounding it but aparently on one episode of like NYPD blue or something they said it in one episode and there was so much hype about it. then to spoof that southpark made an episode about some cop show on tv saying shit and they said shit 162 times throughout the entire episode(there was even a little counter in the bottom of the screen for each time it was said). i dont know why they censor "shit" if theyre supposedly allowed to say it or if they have to get special permission or what. i guess the FCC regulates it somehow i wonder if there is like an offical set of rules governing what can and cannot be said.
