I have noticed that there is two ways comps are judged. One way is that more spins equal a higher score, while the other is a smooth stylie run will win instead. I personaly think that a smooth 360 should be scored higher than a hucked 720. But it seems that most of the time the kid spinning a ballarina 900 to sketchy landing will beat the kid doing smooth 540's. But pro comps seem to be going in the right direction now with style being added into big spins. Judgeing is just to inconsistent.

Around here is kindof the same thing, a friend of a friend of mine went bigger than anyone else doing a 360 safety but he was nowhere near winning.

here too they dont know how to judge,this is a sotry about a boarder tho,the best one(he used to be sponsered and shit) did his whole run switch and the judges didnt know so he got last place where as the kids that it was their first year got the top places,it was gay

You wanna know how to fix everything in judging? Get snowboarders to judge. For real. Everytime snowboarders judge local comps they do a great job. They like style alot better than hucked stuff.

i did my first slopestyle last night, and yes, the judging was kinda whack. It was fun though.

yeah it depends where,around my part of the world theyre strict on inverts cuz last year at a resort a couple hours from here,you wrent allowed to go inverted even with a helmet and the managers son went inverted and now hes a quadrapalegic
