anyone else getting problems with their big toenails bruising a lot with the rampages? mine hit the front bad on backseat landings. it didnt happen with my old tecnicas. is it just me or is it the rampages?
it happened to me with all my boots so far, i got the rampages, in a smaller size than usual, this year and nothing yet. my guess is that your boots are too big because what happens is that when you land hard your toes slide into the front and thats prob why they are bruising. that would be my best guess cuz alot of people ask that when they come into the shop i work at.
the problem is probably due to your boots being too big or not buckled tight enough.
if they're too big and getting a new pair of boot isn't an option, i would get some superfeet footbeds if you don't have them already. they'll raise up the foot a little bit and give it a better fit. make sure to buckle your boots tightly.
if the boots are too big, footbeds won't help you too much. you really just need to get a new pair of boots.
i had the problem when i first got mine, I got some foot beds to hold my foot better inside the boot and i also put a heel rise in both boots to get my toes back from the end and it has worked great, no more toe problems and i have yet to get shinbang with them even though i've landed some pretty sketchy stuff waaaay backseat with them. So yeah, do some tweaking on them, tighten that heel buckle and good luck.
and if those are too expensive get ALINE footbeds, they are much cheaper and they are designed to be stickier so your foot doesnt move one bit at all in them, so try to find them
superfeet footbeds are expensive? I thought they were like 30 or 40 bucks max?
Get the superfeet anyways but if your toes are hitting because your boots are too big then a heel lift isnt going to help. A heel lift will help when the boots are a hair too small.
I love how everyone says these rampages are the sickest boot on the market so everyone goes and buys them and then people are having trouble... prolly woulda been smarter trying other brands...
no problems yet in the 15 days I've rode mine. I had a shit load of problems before, between some intense shin splints and bashing my toes. My old boots were size 10.5 and I went with a 9 for my rampages.
Its not necesarily the bran. Its the stupidity of the buyers. If you went out and got them fitted correctly you should have no problem. I'm sure most people who are having problems did not get them fitted. They probably went to the store told the guy at the shop their shoe size and bought the boots.
well, it still happens a little with me and
-i never use stock footbeds, i always get custom ones when i buy boots
-my boots arent too big, i know how to buy a right sized boot
well if your boots are properly fitting or if your hitting your toes because they are a bit too tight... try clipping your toenails short?
I also recommend a heal lift/ heal wedge under the liner, it'll pull your toes off the front of the boot a bit
