i was looking at the arvs at 175 or 185 and the seth visiouses at 179 i am 6ft. 250 and ski aggressively. i need something that will do well on groomers, backcountry and in park
but what about spinning it seems imposible on a big ski nut i must say that i am probably the heaviest freestyle skier out there though. also i ride 169 pes too short but they are still really good.
im 6 ft 250 and i do throwdown dont get me wrong even though i do have a little extra weight but i can still go big but just having like 10 pounds is so much to jump with and bring the ski around in a spin
187 chronic wide, enough said, or actually if your looking for a deal, evogear.com has last years (04-05)pollard at 186, basically the same ski for pretty cheap, it's a good all around ski. this would be great for you/
The new scratch BCs in 183 might be good if you feel more comftorable on something shorter, id however suggest the mojo 90s, they are stiff, and head is bombproof
If you are in wisconsin and that is where you ski then getting the AnT or Maden would be kinda pointless. A nice stiff ski like the volkl karma in a 185 would rip for you.
madens are suuuper soft dude. that would be bad. get somethin stiff like the ANT. madens are gonna be soft. definitly get somethin around the 190 range.
well obviously you wont be able to whip 720s very easily over 20 ft tables. but you got inches and 60 lbs on me and I am pretty confident I could spin and handle a paif of 190s just fine... granted they weren't mounted at mid-sole (ie- +0)
SALOMON FOIL SALOMON FOIL!!!!! not kidding they kill all of the hill and they will grind real fine. i got a friend that rides them at 210 and they are in great shape. Put fks bindings on them.
Brah! i am the same size as you
and i am rocking this years AR5's at
170 and they are dope! but i recommend the 180s cause i dont like how short these ones are
Third for 187 4Frnt MSPs. I'm 6'1" 170lbs and I don't ski too agressively. The length of the skis seems almost perfect, maybe a LITTLE long. My problem is that they're a pretty stiff for my liking. For someone that weighs an extra 80lbs and is an aggressive skier, I bet the 187 4Frnt MSPs would be the perfect fit. They rock all over... groomers, powder, park... and they punch through crud like no other.
I'm 6ft 185-90ish and if you want like a fucking bomber ski go buy the 191cm 01-02 madtrix cause they are FUCKING stiff and 191 is really long. For park I ride the 181 madtrix and they are pretty sick, the edges are super dull but I can still hold an edge anwhere but on pure ice, and for just cruising and everything else I have the 187 chronic wides from this year and they are fucking killer, only thing is is that my mt's are WAY stiffer than the chronics so it's kinda weird going from a ridiculously stiff park ski to a reasonably soft all mountain ski (even though the chron's are not soft, they feel like butter in comparison to the madtrix.
Next season you can buy a mojo model with up to a 105mm waist width I believe and if the sizes are still big I would definately suggest looking into them because the 02 models are super stiff but I haven't really talked to anyone riding the newer models of the head twins, so I dont' know how stiff they are or what. But the 02 skis are rather heavy and I've heard that the new skis have lightened up a lot.
