I can drop 5s, but occasionally i'll still backseat my 3s. Any advice?? I try to grap in front of my boot, is that the best thing to do? And for later on, any advice for corkin shit out? ...or is it basic, spin off-axis?
you are probobly throwing the same kind of rotation that you do for your 5s, which puts you a little corked in your backseat comming around for the 3 rotation, I do it too sometimes, so to do it right either dont throw your spin down, but throw it more horizontal across your body so that you spin more upright, if you want to do it corked then you are going to have to carve off the lip and rotate around your tips.... understand?
sounds like taking a shit and popping off my toes should do it. I do over rotate alot too. My buddy did a truck driver the other day, its the first time i;ve seen one live. they tight.
for a 3, set the rotation more with your hips than your arms/throwing your arms around. its the angle at which youre following through on that windup, and the angle that youre turning your head at that corks you a little. i had the same problem, and just remember that youre spinning a 360, you dont need that windup if this is a 30footer.
haha im impressed with this thread. this is the first time in a while where someone posted a question that has been answered hundreds of times before and wasnt told that they should "searchbar" it or called a "n00b"
this is the way ns should always be.
i used to always land backseat. The problem was that I was getting off balance when I was looking down for the grab. When i stopped looking for the grab, I stopped landing backseat.
you're probably popping a little bit back as well as up when you take off, I used to do that until Marc McDonnel pointed it out at High North. He also told me to spot uphill at 180 degrees on 3's which helped me a TON, it totally stalls out your 3's and somehow really helps you stay on axis. You just pause really briefly and look uphill and then look over your shoulder and float the last 180, it's crazy how smooth it makes it. I think a lot of people get off axis because they're too intent on looking over their shoulder for the landing, if you do that your head gets ahead of your body and you get off axis.
thanks guys, these are all awesome tips. pumped to try em. but its kind of tough to head to the park when tahoe's been getting a foot of snow every night.
