i just realized that he reciaved pretty much no credit for his all-switch run at the 05 x games. favre got tons of credit though, not that it was undeserved. i just noticed that. i want to see one of his all-switch runs. anyone have a vid of one

well i think it is true. Turpin used to ski his heart out, and no one really noticed. at leased that the way i see it. i am sure there are things i am unaware of. but i always thought he deserved more credit

if i remember correctly, turpin got mad cred for his switch run at wsi.
but he never really steped it up after the first time he did that whole run switch. and it was just alleyoop rodeo 5s which a lot of kids can do now (except the rightside one which was nuts).
i think the most impressive thing about laurents run was that switch down the pipe 9, i don't think turpin ever did that.

The sad part is that Chris was hitting switch sevens in the high teens out of the pipe just before X/05..
I guess after he blew his knee in CO. and the ski industry pretty much turned their back on him.. well.. why not just ski for the joy... there certainly isn't much joy in it when you ski for someone other than yourself...
