I'm giving up skiing for Lent (40 Days and 40 Nights)

Just kidding, but I am giving up newschoolers for Lent. On that earlier note, what would you all do if you had to give up skiing for the next 40 days? I think giving up some stuff is a good form of temperance, but giving up skiing would border on masochism.

it has been just about 40 days since i have been skiing. but that is because of doctors orders. but if i wasn't on doctors orders i would be skiing as much as possible.

I took a 3 week break from skiing cause I got really burnt out working and skiing all weekend each weekend. It sucked cause I only wanted to take a small break, but then all the snow melted so I was forced to wait another two weeks until the resorts were ok.

i think things you give up for lent are best if they somehow bad for you..e.g. giving up weed or drinking or something. giving up a sport is pretty unusual

believing in a higher power doesn't make you an idiot. Religion itself is stupid because it's run by people, and people suck. but if you want to make your own decisions, and not just go to church every sunday and go through the motions, then you're not an idiot.
I think that just saying that believing in religion makes someone stupid, makes you a fuckIN' idiot.
