well i'm taking a trip out to utah this spring break.
were planing on building some back country booters and skiing some pow.
i have 178 invaders with look p 10's how are the ski's going to do in pow.
And what should i turn my din up too in the pow i weigh 190.

any ski can ski in powder, the invaders wont be good but they keep u moving a little. id prob wanna rent something tho if u get significant snowfall, well over or close to actually less than a foot prob 8 inches or so

Wow invadors for someone whos 190? you're gonna tip dive and punch-front down the hill, i suggest renting some powder skis even if they arnt twin tip(if its gonna be deeper than a foot)

first off...you assume powder? Huge mistake, you pretty much screwed yourself right there just by assuming that because your going to snowbird, your magically going to catch a storm cycle....

second...your going to build BC booters and ask questions about DIN? do you even own a shovel, is mom going to help you?

third...you assume powder, you must be kidding me....you plan (or i assume your parents plan a trip months in advance and miraculously its going to dump just for you?

come on...why would your din be any different? why would you be so dumb?

I don't mean to hate so much, but dam kiddo your not that bright....

you probably wont get powder, but if you do you'll be fine, i can ski powder on mogul skis no different then with fatties

its kinda gonna suck w/ invaders but if youre good enough you can ski it but its uber hard and you have to have ripped legs

i rode pow the other day in my invaders are they were actually really good, i forgot my msps so i was stuck with the vaders, but the still worked really well, and ur 190 lbs and only have 10 din bindings? i think u might be screwed there, cause i weight about 170 and rock 15 din race bindings cranked to about 12, which held me in good

rent some pow skiis if it snows, and please do everyone a favor and stay inbounds(unless you have the proper safety gear, probe, shovel tranceiver and backcountry knowledge), you wont risk your life and the others that would have to come rescue you god forbid anything happens. Anyway have a good trip

Let me warn you, do not think that just because your skis are twin tipped, as are many powder skis, that they will ski well in powder. They will probably be not much better than a pair of Slalom skis.

if its a spring break trip, they'll probably be fine. i have powder skis and park skis, and i can rock my center-mounted 179 fujatives in powder. if you wanna drop some cash, rent something thats at least 90 underfoot. if your moving there, obviously buy some pow skis.

if by "PEs" you mean "Seth Vicious", you're right. nothing wrong with the PE (i own a pair), but the SV is orgasmic everywhere.

you weigh 190 and have bindings that only go up to 10? might want to look into getting some new bindings.

some of you guys are assholes i'm from minnesota the most powder i've ever ski'ed is 4 inches. so fuck even if it doesnt snow for 2 weeks out there theres still going to be more snow.

well im not bein a dick or anything, but just cus your goin west dosnt mean powder. youll probably get some, or little stashes, and especially if you hike out to make your jump, but around the resorts, your invaders are gonna be fine.

i'm from the midwest and moved to tahoe this season. I agree it will be fun NO MATTER WHAT. don't stress to much on your skis, and just base it around your budget.

There is supposed to be a storm at least in colorado on wednesday night. Assuming its downslope, that might get through Utah around tuesday or tuesday night. After that (my guess is that) it will be around 40-50 degrees in the mountains which equals no powder left.dont know on weather for next week, but i would expect a few inches at most. And it will be wet, but you wont mind that.

i've riden my fugis in the powder and they just flex. but you can still manage to ride it. it just wont be as easy as riding some madiens or prophet 130's.
