I would like to see park designers and builders create rythym sections similar to those for motocross/bmx/mountain bike tracks. I think shaped mounds of snow that are maybe six feet tall and the gaps maybe 10 to 15 feet in distance. I think the distances should not be huge, but rather the shape of the jump lends to good height and need for timing and speed regulation to clean the sections. If they had like 10 of these type of features in a row it would be super ass fun to ski. does anyone have this sort of thing? would someone in colorado please build some. thoughts feelings?
b-crew. thats not the type of discussion I was looking for but where is this teaser?, I'll at least give it a view, to see if it does have a rythym section in it. jesus, i just asked for a link to a b-crew teaser, i need a life
was that the one with the guys doing the trains through it? It was like some rollers in a row. that was cool, but im thinking some hips, turns and different gap sizes etc. not a skier-cross course though, more of back to back bmx style.
we have a step down that you cant get enought speed for so i ollie onto the landing of it and pump it so i can get speend for te next jump. kinda like a 1 roller rythm section
windham had a skier/boarder x course set up in december which was sick, but then the january thaw killed it and now its a begginer park. but those rollers are fun
way ahead of all of you.
started mine this season.
in summer i'm a dirt jumping mtb'er, so i thought i was being all original bringing rhythms to snow, but obviously not hahaha.
i have made a 6 pack of jumps. (thats 6 back to back jumps) all about 4ft tall with 5ft gaps. i couldn't make any bigger as i have no room for speed.
i've learnt that to get them big you want a constant gradual downhill slope to build your rhythms on.. other then that, just keep the transitions smooth, the lips thick for strength and yeh.. just like any dirt rhythms really.
id love it if they built gaps with takeoffs & landings as steep as dirtjumps - getting all height is so much fun, plus it will result in some pretty entertaining stacks
i saw it years ago. the snowboard rhythm section of like 5jumps that a ton of snowboarders trained through.. and the jumps got bigger and bigger.. just like bmx.. with no time in between the landing and the next take off.. it would be sick.. cause no set up time would be crazy tough.
btw.. bmx is the shit.. ive got trails.. 12pack, 22pack, 8pack, big6, bigger 4 all interwoven.
