nope. mount your bindings a few cm's behind recommended for maximum spinability and rail slideage.

couple cm back from true center is perfect. optimum swing weight and balance on rails

i tried my friends invaders and wow, a lot of tail and it takes a while to get used to. But skis dont weigh enough to make a diffrence for when you're trying to balance on a rail.

the answer you're looking for is yes it does, though not a huge difference. the big difference is in riding and landing switch.

Whats the difference when just skiing with center mounted? Is it harder to turn or anything?

if you centremount a pair of skis that aren't meant to be centremounted, then the sidecut and turn radius will be fucked up for carving and stuff...

THIS PRETTY MUCH SUMS IT UP IN EASY TO UNDERSTAND TERMS
Core Center:
-Better for park.(spinning/Centered on rails)
-Easier riding switch.
-Larger turning radius.
-Harder to make short slalom like turns.
-Still manageable All Mountain.
A Few Back:
-Better for All Mountain yet still managable in the park.
-Swing weight a little off.
grind rails on "balls of feet" instead of arch area.
-Much better for making turns frontward.
-A little harder switch.
-Either way you will be able to manage the ski anywhere if your abilities are good enough.

Getting used to riding centered skis isn't hard at all, its the switch back that takes a little time getting used to, I have to ski a few runs before I can get my rhythm back on my chronics. I have a centered madtrix and if it weren't for the edges I could still carve just as well as anybody else, unless the snow gets real deep.
All times are Eastern (-5)
