it would suck to pay taxes on all that... income tax is a bitch. depending on his tax bracket, whoever won probably owes somewhere between 3,000 and 4,500 dollars in income tax. (figure that 15k worth of shit).

no. you have to pay taxes on income of any kind. if you win a prize, you are taxed on the value of the income... at least in the US thats how it works.
