begginin rails

As a beginner, i'm a little hesitant to slide rails because i think it will screw up my edges for carvin. Will it do any damage? I have salomon 1080's. Thx.

after a while your edges will start to dull. i still grind cuz its fun. you can get your skis tuned at the end of the season if your worried about that... doesnt really hurt your carving abilities much, unless you ski ice. It all depends on if its worth it to you.

AT some point in the future, your edjes will disapear, but that is after a HELL OF A LOT a sliding. so go ahead and do it. its fun :D

just sharpen your edges when you notice any burs or cuts, they should be ok...

yeah i agree that grinding doesn't do as much damage as you think to the skis but it can do a lot of damage to the body when you're starting out. i would recommend starting out on a funbox (which usually has a plastic surface) so you don't hurt your skis or body too much.

A guy I know did this to his 1080's on a 50ftr, but I dunno how this will affect anyone else.
