Looking for my first pair of twins

I wanna get into newschool skiing so im looking for a slightly cheap twin that will ski about 60% all mountain 40% park. Im on the east coast, with the occasional couple inches of powder. Im 6'3" and 230 pounds, so it needs to be big and stiffer than usual. I'd like to find something under $350-$300 and I would prefer if it was below. Used skis are fine as long as they're in good shape.

you're on the east coast. don't bother with a pow ski, you're just going to be paying hundreds more. my boss is 6'2, 260, and rocks 175s, so don't worry about the height.

especially since you're going to be on your FIRST pair, don't go all out just yet. get something cheap that will last the rest of the season, and get something dank next season

ive been hearing good things about the scratchs/sprayers, msp's, ar5's, and the public enemys for all mountain skis. how are these on the east coast? And these would have to last the rest of the season and next year atleast, so im looking for a decent pair.

ar5s would probably be pretty soft for skiing out east, i'd go with head mojos, they're stiff like 2x4s.

proctor jones has msp's for $325, but for some reason the 180's are $375. Would the 187's be worth it?

I posted on your thread but I could get the msps and look p10's for $425, wich is what im leaning twords now.
Also, for bindings whats a good freestyle binding? I saw some look p10 lifters (04-05) for $99. Is that a good deal or are there better bindings?

dude, the din range isn't high enough in the p10s. you'd be a 9.5 or 10 din setting at your weight.. if you have your bindings cranked to the max, its bad for the springs and the bindings are subject to malfuncioning badly. and the bindings are plastic and break. my foils are mounted with s912s so it's got a higher din range, and it's a titanium heelpiece so it's durable as fuck.

you'd be looking at a 4-12 din range for your bindings, so any of the look p/px12s, or even a 6-14 range if you want it to be ideal (except it's gonna cost ya).

dude, whatever you get you're going to be happy with. especially being your first ski. just find the best deal you can and get it. mines out there for the taking if you want, ski+binding or just ski, whatever.. i highly doubt you'll find such a deal anywhere else on the web.

that "light rider bullshit" happened to me last year..the skis lost their camber and then snapped in half while i was doing a 30ft table..and guess what the great folks at salomon decided that it wasn't warranteable

haha thats such bs. the foils are 300 at COST, so either the guy's a thief, or losing alot of money (therefore an idiot)

IF people diss salomon cuz they have a foam core then they take it in the ass. ITs just as good as wood. Just as durable. More people snap wood cores then people who snap foam. I snapped my volkls going shit crap. Ive seen salomons being put through way more stress than i put on those.
