i just got my warrantied invaders and i dont want them to delam again so i am thinking about having a shop put rivets in...they arent delaming yet but just incase i want to do it...i did search bar so please dont give me any responses like "yeah its a good idea, call shop search bar and they'll do it for you" or some gay shit like that...and since these skis are the ones i got for my warranty, they cant be warrantied again can they?
i was just thinking about that, but im guessing you would have to seal it some how because of the snow and the melting and the wood core+water is bad issue
Try using bike chainring bolts or hockey helmet screws. They're both similar and offer more surface area than a conventional rivet. Don't forget to use loc-tite to make sure they don't fall out.
For the glue/sealant, ptex works great because it's flexible.
Get them to use t-bolts. Rivets aren't strong at all. And use epoxy to seal them holes. I just finished fixing my Big Troubles and they look badass - 3 t-bolts in the tips and 2 in the tails. Riding them tomorrow for the first time.
