Hey guys, just got my brand new Butterlicious 170's and mounted em up, so today was the first day on em. I didn't really get to ride that much, with school and everything but I suspect I'll be taking them to the night park pretty soon.
I had a really good time on this ski. The noses are relatively soft, I could nose-butter pretty well and the flex point is pretty consistent. The ski is also SUPER light and poppy. I have rossignol Scratch 120 bindings and this a super light setup. There is very little swing weight and spins on and off of rails were pretty easy.
Since they pop well they get on to rails really well, and once you get on, it doesn't really matter what you are riding, so I'll go straight to the air. Even with a softer ski then I am used to, these seemed REALLY stable in takeoff and landing, and the tail is pretty stiff, and never came out from under me during any of the landings, and I had some sketchy ones.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this ski. Lots of negative hype towards Ninthward but they really seem to deliver as far as this ski goes. I would say that the biggest disappointment with these skis is the retail price, and if I hadn't gotten the deal I got, 300 at proctor jones, I probably couldn't justify spending the money when other park-specific skis do almost-if-not-just-as-well.
So in conclusion, if you can pick these up cheap, do it, you won't regret it. If you want to know any specifics, PM me.
