let me tell you, trampolines can improve your skiing ten fold, this summer i got a fly bed and put it in the ground and in the beginning of the summer i couldnt even do a seven on it, but now i can do cork 10s both ways, now whether you do tricks straight off the tramp is up to you but i gaurantee you that if you find yourself accidentally off axis you can bring it to your feet and people wont even know that you didnt mean too. this all goes back to "air sense and trust me i did alright before the tramp but no real flips and off axis things and now i feel that i can play around with axis and it makes skiing truly fun, in case it wasnt already. I hope this helps.
They can improve your skiing. It helps with the feeling of being in the air. Don't expect to master something on a trampoline and automatically be able to transfer it to snow.
I agree with what others have said... The motion on a tramp is way different than on skis, but if your not use to being off axis, or inverted its a good way to practice, so you don't freak out mid air on skis
I would have to dis-agree with you all...I have learned every trick I know on the tramp and def. would say the rotations are very similar if not the exact same...of course you can't be getting like 2 feet on air on the tramp, try to huck stuff and then say it's different on snow, cause of course it will be...If you have a nice tramp and you can get lots of air, what's the difference in how you would do tricks besides the degrees of the angle of takeoff and landing?
very true, and it also does help with the landing but you should get some crappy skis, and do flips and stuff with that, cause landing on your feet is differne tfrom landing on skis
tramps are fun. like everyone else said...they help u with getting used to being corked and spinning, but throwing down on skis is way different... u havta compensate for the weight and air resistance... still, i like to learn most stuff on a tramp first...
all last summer i worked on getting more comfortable in the air. it helped out a ton. we have 2 tramps and so i would pull them apart like 5 feet and then bounce as high as i could and then have my bro power bounce me over to the other one. its super fun
www.jumpright.com is the place ya'll...I had a round airmaster for 4 years in Colorado...(I broke down and stored in winter months of course) and didn't even have to replace 1 spring! They are have really descent prices too.
