IT happened to me 2 weeks ago, and i think i will be able to ski this week end...
I hate my right heel, its the ligament under or whatever that stretches EVERY fucking year and i have a couple of weeks off because of that.

ya i bruised my heel when i cased a jump and i still skied. I just didnt hit that jump again that day and if i felt like i was gunna land hard i just landed with my good heel first, kinda sketchy but atleast it didnt hurt. I just wear a gel thing in my heel now, i havent really cased anything bad yet so i dont know how well it works.

I bruised my heels so badly a year ago because I jumped off a 12 foot cement wall to flat. I was just holding onto the railing the top, did a 180 off it, and landed flat footed. I was in so much pain for a couple weeks.

Is there anything to do when it does hurt though? wrapping it up, taking pain killers, anything? My heel hurts REALLY bad and its all swollen but im going out skiing today, I wrapped it in an ace bandage so its stationary in my boot and im gonna pop some advil.

the gel pads may bother your feet though. They did for me, it made my foot sit differently and it hurt for about a week but its fine now.

as long as you land right it shouldn't be a problem, them hurting will just make you smoother cause you'll have to land right

I have a knack for bruising both of mine at the same time every year, you just have to deal with the pain. There's nothing you can do to get rid of bruises faster, you just have to man up and go ski(or just take time off and let them heal faster).

When you hurt them you should at least stop for the day and put ice as faast as possible on it
for the next hours at least you put ice like 15 min on, 15 min off, 15 min on etc.
pop advils and try not to walk on it as much as possible
