there was someone who 180 to switch 5ed air jordan a couple weeks ago, anyone know who it is? i was thinking pollard is one of the few to have those types of skills. whoever it is, it's just a preview for the mini golf comp thing k2s putting on.
Nobody hit it full up.. conditions were good this year but not that good. As far as the 180 to sw five.. I have serious doubts as I was filming in that area on the last few days it was even possible to hit and it most certainly wasn't done in that manner..
However the waterfall was spun and someone did a far sicker line beside Jordan on that same day.
a near seventy footer through the trees.
as far as size.. Jordan is about 25 on the first hit and with the speed you carry about forty on the second.
I don't think you could land the first drop switch it's too steep, I mean it's physically possible but would be very hard, not to mention trying to air the second drop, it's not like a nice flat take off pad like you see people use for switch takeoffs in movies.
This whole thing is Suspect. Pollard's not even that good I don't know why everyone gives him props for shit that pretty much everybody else already does. Pollard get a real Job.
why couldn't you just cruise off the second drop switch? hauling ass of course, and spin a composed 5? It's only 40 feet...If you had the skill (most importantly) and the courage, which Pollard fits the bill perfect, it could def. be done. I wish we had proof either way, cause if it was done it would be a huge feat in the freeskiing community.
Come on man. Pollard had progressed our sport immensely. He started the whole "lazy" style, he was one of the first guys landing switch in pow, and he is now slaying bigs peaks all around the world in a way that few people are. Show respect from where it is due.
i dont know, you would drop 40 feet awefully fast to get a switch five in there, maybe if there was some kind of takeoff at all then mayyyyybe, still would be hard to believe
Yeah that is totally doable, firstly to the person who said its too steep for a switch landing, the steeper the better in the BC mang. Andyeah a switch 5 wouldn't be hard to rotate fast enough of a 40 footer. The whole thing is totally do able.
^ shit i am not sure, i think the cab 5 off the second is easily doable, but to maintain balance and composure landing that switch is damn risky considering you don't have that much room if you land a little silly
I agree fully...going for a 1 off the first of a double is highly risket and MUST be stuck...hence the reason it would take brass balls to attempt it...but sooner or later, if pollard didn't do it already, someone will...
