stupid resort+stupid kids= crappy hits for those of us that can ski.
why do kids think they can hit a jump at walking speed when there is a 4+ foot drop after the lip? they slid up the lip and fall off the other side. stupid kids!!!! ahhh! because the wanna-be resort also is full of complete idiots. no marker on the jump saying experts only or a double black diamond sign, whatever, anything to warn them! so now, instead of educating the idiots, they are completely changing the jump. less lip, flatter landing, etc. completely ruined it. I have a seasons pass there, but may go somewhere else now. it was the only decent thing at this hill.

yeah but those people are the same people that sit down on the landing and make it more interesting to jump cause u have to dodge them. so i dont mind...
Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

we have the same problem at my hill. The solution is to get violent. Ski poles make great weapons. No kid that gets a ski pole across the face is gonna chicken step up a jump again. I think the actual term for that herring-bone.

I never avoid. Being 6'5' and 200 lbs, I rarely get the bad end of a collision with a little shit.
On topic, this is one of my greatest pet peeves. That and when people do a big freakin snow-spraying stop as soon as they land instead of running out and THEN stopping someplace where I don't care if it's icy.

Matt, actually there are at Rabbit too. when I was there I had to help one little snowboarder off the 45 footer. he was laying on his back at the 20 ft point grabbing his shoulder. but I will be driving out to rabbit more often now.

I was up at my home mtn on Saturday and this group of little kids with orange jackets, a ski team or something, was standing on the landing of a table when a boarder hit the table and nearly took the kids out like bowling pins. What kind of fucking idiot do you have to be to stand on the other side of a jump, I wanted to beat the shit out of all of them.

I have never seen more people do that than at Jackson Hole... I was there last weekend and it blew me away how many little kids do that. Its weird because there is a small jump next to all the big jumps- so the little kid is goin' walking speed, then hit the big one and smack on flat ice instead of hitting the small jump and landing on the landing. I don't think the majority understands what landings do.

at my area, its not uncommon to see a bunch of snowboarder building a big kicker in the middle of the flatest of slopes, its funny shit, they have no idea that landings need to be steep

my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

there was a shitty table near the top of the park at my hill, and none of the little shits could hit it with enough speed to clear the table, and were building a hole in the middle of it. kids would land in the hole and die, then get run over by the next person. they closed the jump cause of injuries. ha ha. but remember,
