Summer skiing

alright heres the deal. one of my friends and I are trying to plan a early summer road trip this year to somewhere out west and i have a few questions.

-how late are resorts usually open to in the summer (we are in MN so colorado/montana would be best, but oregon isnt totally out of the question)?

-considering a lot of things going on in the summer are camps, how are the parks outside the camps (alas, we cannot afford going to a camp). are there parks outside the camps early summer?

-from MN what would you say is the best bet for early summer skiing if possible?

well im in the sierras so im not sure how long colorado is open. but i do know that in light of our epic snowfall last season, i was skiing mammoth in july (they ended up closing like the 4th i think) ... and it was open to the public. this season we havent been as lucky with snow so i'd guess mammoth will close mid june unless we get snow soon. (its definitely worth it if you can go... best park i've skied in the west including colorado)

mt hood, oregon is definatly the best option. you can ski til like the last week in august

MT Hood is probably the best, unles you wanna hike and camp, for doper places.

I don't know if you don't want to come here, but if you're even considering OR you might want to look into UT. There will still be some ill park action.

Colorado should have atleast a few resorts open...loveland usually closes mid may, and Abasin should close July 4th with the amount of snow they have this year, there park isnt the greatest, but its better than nothing, and i keep hearing rumors that the Old St. Mary's glacier is reopening, and i know a bunch of kids go ski up there in the summer...so that may be a possibility

Who do you think has the best park in the summer (not including camp grounds - i'm 19, camp would be awkward and exspensive)??

I tore my acl at the begining of the season and asuming i'm all rehabed out by late june/early july i'm planning on making a trip. I'm talking maybe like a beginner/intermediate range of terrain as i don't want to push it too hard my first time back on the snow... how big is the stuff at mammoth and in Utah? Colorado? anywhere else? do they have small beginner type features? i just wanna have some fun this summer cuz i completely missed this season which fucking blows.

Beartooth Mountain in MT/WY.. you can go there and not go to camp. thats what im doing.

Hood will have a 1 mile long Public park through spring and probably until July 4 or maybe longer if it keeps dumping. Plus Public Super Pipe. So don't fret little campers the summer months are not a complete loss.
