yeah tails, nose etc i cant do with a spin over 180, because it puts off my axis.
ninja/ tanner grab/ whatever it's cool to call it now, on the other hand, is easy because its still by my centre of gravity
you have to get really really comfortable spinning first. Like just this year I've improved a hell of a lot. I use to put a lot of effort into 3's, now it's more like trying to put the least effort into them and be layed back. But just from being comfortable like that with spins I just started throwing in grabs liek nothing really. I think it's more important to be super comforable with your spins first, then put in grabs.
especially grabin mute,, your rotation like stops.. true tails are easy to grab because even if u do look for the grab, you follow your rotation (if you grab leading)
seriously....i dont think anybody has ever seen it....but what might be throwing off your rotation is you trying to bend down and grab your skis..use you knees for what they were supposed to...bring them up to the grab...
use your legs instead of your back and arms, basically bring the skis to your hands instead of hands to the skis
grabbing makes everything easier, you just have to force yourself to do it, and think about what youre doing and it becomes easier
i usually practice before i drop in, ill like reach and turn whichever way im gonna spin or do whatever to kind of mentally prepare for what it should feel like
