Replying to Does anyone else feel like........
ski movies try to be too bad ass and make the skiers look like super gnarly extreme athletes. i think it would be rad if a movie tried to capture more what skiing is really about for all of us, having fun. now all you little kids are probably getting all heated and are about to tell me how stupid i am and cite a bunch of examples of movies you think do this, but overall i just feel like movies lack. pro skiers aren;t super gnarly gods, they're just people that like to throw on skis and go shred, same as the rest of us. whether your doing a 180, a 1080, sliding a 10 stair, or sliding a 90 stair, the feeling is still the same, and everyone skis for the same reason. ski movies shouldnt be just a bunch of gnarly shots in a super quick succession, cause thats not how skiing is. no one does 9's and 10's all day long, at least not any pros ive ever skied with. sometimes, you might not even make a run through the park all day long, and still have the best day of your life, and you and your friends are stoked. thats what makes skiing so cool, is that you dont have to be super sick to have a good time, and i think movies have done a pretty shitty job of capturing that. does anyone else feel the same? or am i just too much of a hippy
