OK i really need some help about some equipment. Im 5'6'' 125 pounds. I ski at smuggs, vt and am looking for a new ski. Im on a shity ass carcing ski right now and i cant take it anymore. Just doesnt fit what i like to do. I like to go into the pow alot although we dont really have any now cause its a shitty year. I take groomers sometimes. Im getting into freestyle, im doing rails, jumps alot more than before. I need something flexy since im light. i'd like somthing decently wide. i want something witha low swing weight, light, easy to manage. i've taken into consideration the mothership flites, chronics, 1260's, arv's, pe's. i need help, badly. i searched around for some stuff but i think i need some first hand commentary. thanks guys.
You don't want a soft ski. I'm fairly light and i find it really difficult not to wash out on my fujatives. Out of those I'd get some chronics because they were my favourite ski I've ever used. And, if you break them you get a free pair.
get the new karmas 07 or big troubles 07 i found them for sale in like germany or some shit www.sport-conrad.de just fuckin change it to english on the top right hand corner
Hey I have a pair of mounted T-halls, the 170's (whatever the 170 cm is- 171, 173, 176 whateva), if they're good enuff for T$ they're good enough for you. Let me know I can sell them pretty cheap.
im mainly looking at chronics now. so chronics are good everywhere it seems but i also wan tot know about the ar5 and arv. what are the main differnces between ar5 and arv. from what i know, ar5 is more for park but still good all around. and arv is good everywhere, powder alot though?
arvs are softer, wider, and better for pow. ar5s ride pretty well everywhere, but if you take skis on rails dont expect it to perform amazingly on ice.
arvs might be a good idea if you like powder but the volkl karma is a good all mountain ski and sounds like its what ur looking for but if you tend to ski a little more park then maybe go with ar5s they rip pretty much anywhere or the arv is also a good choice
