Getting audio from a video???

ok well i taped some of my brothers gig the other night and he asked if i could give him the audio files is there neway i can just take the audio from these by some feature in like windows movie maker or ulead video studio or do i need a special program?

if you can get the video on to your computer, you will be able to just export the audio in any good editing software. WMM might be able to do it but im not sure - never used it. you export the file and you should be able to change the format from .wmv, mpg or .mov to .wav or .mp3

idvd works, extract the audio then save it as another file
or just for an audio ripper like every1 else said

in premiere, load it up into the timeline, then right clikc>seperate audio/video or something like that. click away, then clikc on the top part (the video portion) and delete and export i think it will go to mp3 automaticly. i know you can do this with windows movie maker
