Did anyone go to the Surrey Jazz Festival on Thursday, or even today (Friday)? I was there with my school on Thursday and we performed and we sucked.

I had a funny time at a Jazz festival last summer. It was $15 to get in and my friend and I just wanted to watch for about an hour while we waited for another guy to get off work. So we snuck around back to the portapotties and had to climb up and over this concrete wall. Some security guard saw us and kicked us out as soon as we sat down though... Sounded like that jazz set sucked anyway...

Well, no, the festival was great, but our group was really bad. I heard the recording that they did for us the next day and our conducter looked SO pissed off. I felt like it was all my fault and that I personally screwed everyone over.
But yeah, it had nothing to do with it being in Surrey. I mean, we were in a hotel the whole day and we left the hotel for 45 minutes to go for lunch. We were pretty isolated. Meh. I just wanted to know if there were any people here who went to the festival and could vouch that yes we did suck, or we were actually alright.

I don't really get what everyone has against Surrey. It's just another city in BC. I didn't think it was all that bad concidering what I've heard about it. That Sheraton Gilford hotel needs to be washed on the outside though. On the inside it was very classy. So there.
