alright i know alot of people will think im crazy but bear creek in PA could soon have one of the better parks on the east coast. The progression at bear is so fast and everything just keeps getting better and better each week. here is a list of features now just so u guys know what im talking about.

Halfpipe:
Open and Cut
As you can see bear has some pretty crazy stuff and they are not afraid to have setups most mountains would leave for the videos. Also the park changes so much, about twice a month so you can never get boerd. Everything is cut every nite and a dedicated park crew is always out fixing stuff up. Honestly i believe that the park deserves much more recoginition in mags and stuff because they build some progressive stuff there.

Hmm, maybe ill have to take a trip down to Bear Creek instead of Camelback if theyre open during my spring break, which is March 23-April 1.. what are the chances of them still being open/having a park? Thats pretty late..

no. they have some crazy rails. but not well set up, and no jumps.
Sugarbush straight up sucks, everything is set up wrong, and their jumps are not built properly. in northen vt, smuggs adn stowe are best.

Bear Creek has a lot of jibs, but they are real shitty and not setup that great. Also most of the jibs are kind of tiny...ie 20ft, 25ft etc. Mountain Creek has a way better variety and the jibs average nearly 40ft long.

if the weather is still like this, chances are they will close earlier, but definitely go to bear creek, ive been to camelback but not bear, but bear sounds so much better, camelback is so much smaller

Superpipe Open (sunday river)
The word "ginormous" might not be real, but if it were, it would be the perfect word to describe the Superpipe. The plan is to cut the Superpipe over the weekend to make it extra-sweet for vacation week. Dropping in

The SRJP is the home of 7 rails total. A sweet Y rail and a short box live above the minipipe. 5 more totally different rails are below, including a new down rail. Easily lapable, easily hikeable, and just the right size to dial in your tricks before heading to the Chair. Y not?

The Sugarloaf Superpipe
Located on Pipeline next to Lower Winters Way
Accessed by the Double Runner Chair
Open mid December through April
400+ feet long
Groomed by a 18 foot Zaugg
Pipeline
Located at the base of the Spillway Chair
Higher level rails to challenge anyone
Accessed also by the Double Runner Chair this park leads to our Superpipe
Examples of what to expect:
8-foot tall 15 Ft. long rainbow rail
Flat bars anywhere from 16 to 24 feet
32-foot double
Kinked down flat down rail
5-foot flat to 24 foot down rail
The Stomping Grounds
Sugarloaf's signature terrain park located on Chaser.
At the top is our mini pipe that is a lot like a skate-park.
Don't be surprised to see sub boxes or even coping set up at any time.
Accessed by the Sugarloaf SuperQuad, Spillway Chair and Bucksaw Chair.
Examples of what to expect:
25 foot jump into a 35 footer
24 foot down rail, C-rail, A-frame
Step-up jump
"Sit down jump", 25-30 foot table top
"Superkicker", 45-50 foot kicker
35-40 foot jump with 2 takeoffs - long & floaty or short and poppy
"money booter" - 55-60 foot chees wedge
finish with the "butter pad"
Quarantine Zone
Located on Scoot this park is for the riders looking for something a little less intimidating than the Stomping Grounds. This park focuses on progression and learning.
Accessed by the Sugarloaf SuperQuad, Spillway Chair and Bucksaw Chair.
Examples of what to expect:
16-foot or 8-foot box
16-foot flat rail
Two 10-15-foot kicker
3 big rollers to finish
there are plenty of good parks here (east coast) to say your the best is a hard thing to say!

Bear Creek is NOT better than Mountain Creek. Thats the most rediculous thing ive ever heard. The place is tiny, the parks are tiny. Everything at Bear is like miniature sized. Plus the setups are retarded. Look at photos of Bear then at photos of MC theres no cmparison.

i was just at bear tonight, the jumps seem bigger than dorsey says. i would estimate about 40 feet for the largest hits, but they are a very poppy 40 with steep landings. i'll be at mountain creek on saturday, so i'll give you a comparison afterwards.
