How much of a difference from carving skis to park skis

So I was wondering if this will really make much of a difference or its all mostly straight up skill. I got some cruising groomer skis for carving and stuff. the waist is 67 or 68. now i've been getting into freestyle and rails. i've been doing rails on these cause i had to rent them which is lame and i got a damage waiver with them. so i just kick the shit out of them. so i've been doing rails on them ok but theyre not too stable as theyre only 67 underfoot. so im wondering would a park/all mountain ski such as the PE or chronic help me much? is it an instant difference on rails in terms of stability? im just trying to see what kind of difference ill notice. im gonna try to get som beaten down chronics for cheap from a kid i know. they are few years old for sure but ill check them out.

a little fatter waist will help you grind better, but it's mostly where your bindings are mounted. park specific ski=binding close to center/at center. carving ski=mounted pretty far back.

shit i completely forgot to mention where they're mounted. my bad cause i know better. they are mounted pretty far back, ill check later how far but its back there. after a better mount and wider underfoot i think it will be easier but ill just have to wait.
