i think camps should have an option where you don't have to be coached... like they should have more then just the two options of accomadations or not... they should have a bunch of different options like if you want to have whatever activities included aaand if you want coaching aaand whatever else you could put in or take out... because i know myself i just want to ski and not neccesarily be coached.

THats what i thought when I went to camp, but all the activities are SOOO FUN, and the coaching is really cool. however, they do have a public park on blackcomb, and probably at hood with no coahes, or anything.

Fuck Yeah. That's what I've done the last few summers. It's so much more fun. I met so many pros just cruzing around. It's way cheaper too. Sleep in you car for free, buy cheap food inSandy down the road from Hood, and buy Day tickets for $40. It' really not that expensive. I usually go for a week and can usually keep my expenses under $200.

Yeah seriously I've had so much fun doing that the last few summers. The public park is always really good and this year they've gotten a ton of snow so it should be a good long summer. You always meet lots of cool people on the hill who you can ride with if you are by yourself. It's pretty damn cheap too since basically all you pay for is tickets and food. Just make sure to bring something else to do after the mountain closes down at 2:00 or whatever it is becasue Govy is really boring and the only people out and about are all the little kids from the camps. I brought my mountain bike and rode around some of the awesome trails in the area. Anything to kill time like crocheting, reading, skating, or video games.

I hear it's not really worth it. $2000 to progress a little bit, and chill with pros most of the time...I'd rather progress alot...so I'll prolly just do a backyard setup.

im sure its really fun and all but yeah im with the one dude above riding the public park at hood. i live in portland which is like 1 hour and 30 min away from hood so i just go up like every 2 weeks and ski the public park, its mad sick. the jumps have been a bit too big for me but its always fun to ride the pipe and the rails. i think its sick that for a public park, they build a seperate pip, have good rails, and like 4 or 5 50 footers. timberline is sick in the summer
