JP vs. Julien

Alright heres a deal.
They are on sale right now for a STEAL and
THey are fuken hot and they are fuken light
and they kill it in powder and on and on and on.

The problem is I live on the east coast, I've been
reading all the post and talked to several people
about them and are coming to a conclusion that
it is basically dumb fuken shit for me to buy them.

But they are so fuken hot and so fuken light, i'm
thinking bout just dealing with it crusing around
slopes while I'm on the east and hit the jumps
a little here and there but no rails. AND when
I go out west which I'll do at least couples trips
a year and Kill it. (long as I don't get fuked up...)
Also I'm 5'9 and 185lbs

Now who says I should fuk it and just rock these
babies???

well if they're cheap i'd say fuckin go for em eh. they are going to suck bigtime for hardpack but fuck it you probably have a couple pairs anyway.

they do have very little sidecut so wont be very good for anything but pow, but when u get then in pow there sick as hell. Just dont buy it as your 1 ski quiver.

Definately not an ideal east coast ski by any means but they are workable. Since they are so soft the sidecut doesnt really matter because you can just manhandle them. Im the same height as you and about 30 pounds less and could make them do whatever i wanted...you just have to deal with a little more of the skid factor because of their girth.

in all seriousness, they are a super dope ski, however, i would recommend getting a ski thats perhaps a bit more narrow, but stillsuitable for those trips out west. they arent really good on super hard/ice conditions, but great everywhere else. but i think youll find another ski to perhaps be more suitable and enjoyable for your situation.

theyd be fun, but not to the full potential imo

your not gonna put them on edge for more than 2 seconds, 1. you have to be doing 45 in order to have enough centrafucial force to not fall over because the turn raidius is measured in miles not feet, its redicoulous,,, having said that, the best ski i have ever been on for Pow and BC. I love mine and will keep them untill they fall aprt.

Discussion over I am getting them haha. When I picked them up at the local shop, I could not believe how light they were. I was like okay Thalls are pretty light and I picked up the jp julien and I was like...um...what's going on here. Its gonna be sick.

Now wondering if I should put the fks 185 or p12s on these bad boys. I'm thinking about putting fks on the arv's and p12s on the jp's.

Right on, I was thinking of putting the fks on the arv's because it'll be less pain bending the breaks and since
I'll be using the arv's more in the park and prob thrash
them a bit more, so thought of putting the more durable
bindings on the arvs.

Well I sprained my acl and mcl on my right knee. I couldn't pass deal up at tramdock. And I kept using up money from the skis I sold on stupid shit so I went and got some gears.
