Twin Tips!

Hey!

I am about to get a new pair of skis and was wondering what i should get. I'm looking for twins that can be thrown around, and can carve. If you list a ski can you tell me how much they cost in Canadian dollars( i know ha ha).

lol, okay, well i dont have any input on this cause i dont ride twins, but i was talking to my friend the other day after skiing, and she was like 'this guy had the coolest skis... you know, the ones that are the same in the front and in the back?'... and i just thought it was kind of funny that she didnt know they were called twins. haha :)

go with the madtrix. They are durable ass hell and they are great for carving etc too. The best twintip ski out there in my opinion.

if you wanna be like moseley get the mad trixx.

get the 1080's, concepts, public enemies or the machetes (if you can handle the little extra weight)

The Line Mavericks seem to be what you're looking for, they have a rubber topsheet too so that's pretty cool.

ahahha quazbotch. I was looking at LINE. The pro models and the maverick and ghetto blaster. I have heard some bad things about line so i don't know what to do. Is line expensive? anyways. I was also looking at the Saloman 1080s and the K2 public enemies. Any info on those skis?

the 1080's and the public enemies are great skis, they can handle basically anything. you might look into rossi scratches too, i haven't heard many bad things about them either.

i hear scratches get worn down quick. i'd go with the enemys. and if they do break/delaminate they give you new ones under warranty

i suggest going to your local shop...cuz most everyone tells you to get what they have...mauui has mad trix's..he says mad trix i have airstyles..i say airstyles..go to a shop and tell them your riding style and what you do..or throw darts till you hit a company and get their ski

where do you live? if you're in the west, get SETH PISTOLS! ahh, such a great ski. if you're in the east, then public enemys, 1080s, concepts, most of those are good...dont get mad trix, you'll want to blow your balls off once you ride them. i dont know if you want line skis, i'm not a huge fan, but i guess they make decent park skis. be sure to research the ski you'll get first though- and put salomon bindings on them! hahahahaha

why would the mad trix make u want to blow your balls off, i could get deal on some dynastars, but now that i have read stuff, people are saying they are the best rail skis cause the edges pop up quick, so i might just wait for the PE's cause they say the edges are thicker. Comeon companies, give us some skis with edges that will not bust

limwarrior, im just not a big fan of the madtrix ski, wasnt too impressed by it when i rode it last year. and YES, the seth pistola and public enemys have edges on them that are beefy as hell. i've put my seth pistols through some pretty rocky terrain, and the edges havent gotten one bit screwed up, save a few minor scratches. and PEs are relatively cheap, that would be a good buy.

they will all carve on the groomers... lines aren't that stable at speed though... haven't ridden the spaceframe or the PE's but of all twins i've ridden, the best for carving hardpack have been the atomic tweaks, the head madtrix, and the enemy.

if your looking for a good carving ski stable at high speeds, the darkside is awesome. BUT, it's got the twin tip of the old enemies, so it's not that great of a twin. i would say go with head, decent carving skis that still hold their own in the park. but ya, go demo a truck load and see what you find. i personally like the skogans, but i haven't been able to try the pe's or seth pistols yet, so ya. go demo.

I'm happy with my new spaceframes... but honestly they are def'n not the best ski for carving groomers.
