ok i didnt want to be the first one to say this but, you can probly find something on it under the search bar, its on your top right. i realize your new so i tried to be as nice as possible
the bigger the jump, the slower the rotation, and the easier it is to spot your landing. just think of lifting your knees/throwing your head back after popping and look for the landing. whatever you do, don't start flailing mid-air. that's how people get hurt. once you've committed, you gotta hold it together. the biggest part though is people just throwing their heads back and hoping for the best. you gotta remember to tuck your knees in and whip your legs around too
just make sure you jump off the lip and THEN think ground, and just look for it and wait, be patient. Will people shut the hell up about the noobs already? YOU WERE ALL ONE,. No one cares.
most noobs who are scared tend to sling em, just be calm and as you are coming up the jump lean back a little bit and give it a light pop, start looking back as far as you can and tuck your knees if you need to speed it up, if you need to slow it down "frog it" where you point your knees inward at each other for whatever reason that tends to slow em up a bit
Make sure that you pop off the jump and not just lean back and after you lean back tighten your stomach muscles and pull your legs around by tucking them closer in. This last part i can't stress enough. I've seen so many people just go off the jump and lean back and land right on there face/stomach.
